Congressman Antonio Delgado has introduced a new bill to help address broadband mapping issues and help bring broadband service to more areas. This would allow local providers and local communities to dispute the findings or outcomes of the broadband mapping used to secure funding for unserved areas.
MIDTEL is in support of this bill and the efforts to improve broadband coverage in rural areas like ours. Now more than ever, access to broadband service is crucial in our daily lives.
“Accurate and reliable broadband mapping is a key component to our nation’s ability to expand broadband services to the unserved and underserved areas,” said MIDTEL President Jim Becker.
