Recently, MIDTEL was invited to sit on a Rural Prosperity Forum panel at Hartwick College in Oneonta to discuss rural New York infrastructure needs with community members. MIDTEL Vice President/GM, Jason Becker, joined local officials, community leaders, NY USDA Rural Development Assistant to the Secretary Anne Hazlitt, and US Representative John Faso at the roundtable discussing how we can overcome challenges that rural communities face. Jason’s focus was on rural broadband, fittingly, and how important sufficient broadband is for our rural schools and students, as well as the local economy in our upstate towns.
